Workingmums.co.uk, the jobsite
for professional working mums and flexible
jobseekers, has announced the launch of its
inaugural annual Top Employer Awards to publicly
recognise and celebrate the achievements of
companies offering leading practices in flexible
working, diversity and work life balance.
Workingmums.co.uk attracts thousands
of candidates and jobseekers each month who are
highly-skilled and qualified women working in a wide
range of roles. Results from its annual survey of
over 1,600 jobseekers show that 79% of these
experienced and professional women value flexibility
in the way they work, including flexible hours, home
working or part-time work.
The Workingmums.co.uk Top Employer
Awards recognise employers who are progressive in
their flexible working practices and proactive in
seeking to assist working parents combine successful
careers with being a parent.
Gillian Nissim, Founder of
Workingmums.co.uk says: “We’ve decided to launch the
awards on the back of demand from employers and
candidates alike - we want to share good practice
and inspire others. Too often the case for flexible
working is argued simply as an employee benefit. The
organisations that we work with are demonstrating
that new, more flexible ways of working offer many
benefits for both employer and employee."
